Rebekah Locke

Rebekah is a PhD researcher in the Department of Italian at the University of Bristol, supported by the AHRC South West and Wales Doctoral Partnership. Her research interests include reception studies, intertextuality and text-image relations, and her current research project explores the influence of Dante's Purgatorio upon later representations of Purgatory in literature, art and theology from the 14th to 16th centuries. She co-organised the Society for Italian Studies Postgraduate Conference in 2017, and the University of Bristol Centre for Medieval Studies Postgraduate Conference in 2019. Outside of her PhD work, Rebekah is a keen musician who enjoys performing with orchestras and choirs in Bristol.
