Karolina Szopa

Karolina’s interest in Law led her to complete a Master’s in International Human Rights Law at the University of Reading. This year she has commenced a doctoral degree funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council with co-supervision between the University of Reading and the University of Bristol. Karolina’s project seeks to address a political problem that surrounds the legitimacy of the European Court of Human Rights by incorporating legal philosophy. This collaborative project aims to address the interpretative methods that should be assigned to a specific category of human rights. Karolina also co-runs the Understanding Change Research Cluster and is responsible for organising the monthly events that help students exchange their different conceptions of change.
