Andrea Romanzi

Andrea is a doctoral researcher at the University of Reading. He researches the literary agency of Fernanda Pivano in translating and disseminating Beat poetry in the post-war Italian publishing market. His work is funded by the AHRC’s South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership. His main research interests include translation theory, comparative literature, modern Italian cultural and publishing history, and modern and contemporary theatre. He has published on translation and comparative literature and has presented papers at national and international conferences. He was an editor and contributor for Prosopopeia, the journal of comparative literature of the University of Bergen (Norway), and actively collaborates with publishing houses in Europe as a consultant for Norwegian literature. He translates poetry and prose from Norwegian into Italian.
